Welcome to another newsletter from Jason Downes Entertainment. It's fair to say that the last 4 months have flown and I'm more than a bit embarrassed that it has taken this long to get back in contact. However, I have an excellent excuse and for those of you who don't know, my wife and I had a beautiful little baby girl on Christmas Day! Indianna Catherine Downes.
Now, there is some great jazz around the traps and after a slow start JDE is getting back into the swing of things.

Philip Webb Real Estate supports live Jazz
A curious thing has been happening in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne for many years now. Young and old buyers of real estate flock to the leafy green suburbs in the hope of snagging their perfect home at auction...and to help them do it you might just find some of your favourite musicians blowing a tune right in front of the house!

Philip Webb continues to employ small jazz groups on Saturday mornings around Doncaster and surrounds. Although a bit of fun and often a curious spectacle, it has to be acknowledged this type of work is always appreciated by working musicians. Thanks Phil!
PS - if you see any of the bands playing at auction, be sure to stop and say G'day and request your favourite tune!
Red Hot Rhythmakers STILL seek a venue

Michael McQuaid's Red Hot Rhythmakers are still on the hunt for a venue to start a regular gig. It's going to be great but we can't find a venue! Can you help?
We are seeking:
- A small to medium-sized hall
- In or around the Brunswick/Fitzroy area
- Ideally we'd like it have a stage and a dance floor
We would like to hire it on a long-term ongoing basis. If you know of a suitable venue, please contact Jason Downes - 0423 593 692.
