Two upcoming tours to Australia

I’m currently busy in the planning stages of bringing out two exciting groups to Australia. As gigs become locked in I’ll let everyone know but at this stage we’re looking at:

April 2011 – The Hot Jazz Alliance
November 2011 – Litton, Langham & Sked

The Hot Jazz Alliance (USA/AUS)
A brand new band featuring six of the most exciting young ‘hot jazz’ musicians anywhere in the world today. Internationally-renowned Americans Josh Duffee (drums) and Andy Schumm (cornet) join forces with four Australians, creating authentic jazz sounds from the 1920s to thrill your ears and your feet.

Litton, Langham & Sked (UK)
Martin Litton (Piano) and Thomas ‘Spats’ Langham (Banjo/Guitar/Vocals), along with Malcolm Sked (Bass/Tuba) will be presenting their wonderful brand of jazz throughout November 2011. Expect to see them as a trio as well as accompanied by some of Australia’s best jazz musos.

More information will follow as gigs are locked in.

The Rotary Club of Glen Waverley presents Sunday Jazz

Beverley Sheehan & Swingshift + The Jason Downes Quintet (Jason Downes, Michael McQuaid, John Scurry, Peter Hooper and Sam Bates).

Sunday 26th September from 2-5pm at the Village Green Hotel, Glen Waverley. Click here for full details including booking information.

Proceeds from this event support The Fred Hollows Foundation.
