Double bass, piano accordion, trumpet and vocals make up the romantic trio that is 'The Sheiks'.  Playing classic reportoire from early Jazz, tin pan alley and blues through to Brazilian choro, Cajun music and even a bit of Elvis!

Leigh Barker plays the bass, and also can be heard with Julie O'Hara, Tom Vincent, Joe Chindamo and many other acts from the traditional and contempory jazz worlds. 

Anthony Schulz is best known for his work with world music star 'Zulya', and is Melbourne's most in-demand accordionist.

Eamon McNelis plays trumpet and sings, he is also heard with his own band 'Flap!' as well as many traditional Jazz groups around town.

From 2005 - 2009 the Sheiks held a residency in the Federation Square Atrium on Sunday afternoons, chances are you've walked past and heard them!
