15/52: Two dogs walk in to a bath...

At some time during the 13th Century, St. Thomas Aquinas was quoted as saying:

It is requisite for the relaxation of the mind that we make use, from time to time, of playful deeds and jokes.

(BTW - I wouldn't normally quote from the world of religion, but it is nearly Easter! 🐰✝)

While our new puppies play with the kids in the yard, blissfully unaware of yet another "Is this really happening" week, I'd like to share with you some of the funnier and more creative pieces that have come into my WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, HouseParty, Zoom...

In no particular order, other than the order I've received them, we start with family man:

As a cyclist, I enjoyed this:

From Graham Bell, the former British Olympic skier:

If you're younger than 40, this one might not make sense (hint: google 'gremlin water'):

"This is your pilot speaking" - a very funny overdub on a Family Guy scene.

"You're literally going to have to eat Mummy's cooking." So wrong but I laughed.

There are thousands of memes, jokes and creative videos doing the rounds. Here's two music videos that have been racking up the hits this week:

#1: One Day More

#2: Family Lockdown Boogie. This is from Jack Buchanan in NZ and just nails it.

So, not much of a 'blog' this week but an important message. As we head into Easter, and soon to be school Term 2, please focus on the basics and look out for your physical and mental health. Work and learning are important but in a crisis, your wellbeing comes first.

Take a leaf out of St. Thomas Aquinas' book and make use of those 'playful deeds and jokes' that land in your social streams. May you have a Happy Easter.
