51/52: Merry Christmas, it's a tradition!

T'was the night before Christmas and all through the house, the Downes' were scrambling to take their annual Christmas pyjama photo! I had a look through this week's photos, as I have done every week this year before writing my blog, and this one jumped out as the best to use. It's not the final photo we used for our 'cards', but in addition to the overall vibe, I just love the expression on the dogs' faces!

The family pyjama photo in front of the tree is now in its fifth year. It's becoming a tradition, something we look forward to and have a lot of fun with. It's a great time of year for traditions: putting up the tree, advent calendars, family reunions, presents and going to the beach. I predict the pyjamas will become more outrageous in years to come!

With only one post left in my '52 Frames' blog, I'm looking forward to reviewing the year of blog writing, reflecting on what has been an extraordinary year and trying to pull some meaning from it all. But for now, I'd simply like to share some Christmas spirit.

I hope you and your loved ones are well. I hope you experienced the joy of giving. I hope you get a decent break and that your traditions, new and old, bring you joy and comfort.

Merry Christmas.
